But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV)
This June is a special month, as the Indonesian Mission Church congregation
in Frankfurt celebrates its 32nd anniversary. The anniversary celebration
will take place exactly on the day of Pentecost (June 8, 2025). We give
thanks to God, the Head of the Church, who has been pleased to lead and
accompany His congregation over these past 32 years. Year after year,
generation after generation, through various struggles and challenges
permitted by Him, He intends to mold us into members of His Body who are
growing in maturity, bearing fruits of righteousness, and increasingly
filled with His glory.
The sub-theme for MayJune 2025 is: The need to be purified
and filled with the glory of God in the midst of His family life
(Building the fellowship of the Body of Christ that is pure and filled
with God's glory in this end-time generation). This June, we will reflect
together on how, as His church, we can be increasingly filled with His
glory. For that, let us allow ourselves to be transformed into the image
of Christ, with ever-increasing glory (2 Corinthians 3:18).
In these end times, as lawlessness increases, the love of many will grow
cold (Matthew 24:12), resulting in many families becoming broken, shattered,
and losing the glory of God. Truly, God calls His churchevery member
of His family/His bodyto be transformed into the image of Christ
in ever-increasing glory. This June, let us go deeper into how we can
be transformed to become more like Christ and be filled with His glory.
We are not only destined for His holiness but also for His glory.
The church of God exists and was founded by Jesus Christ on this earth
for God's eternal purpose (Matthew 16:1819). God's will for His
church is that it be transformed with ever-increasing glory. For that
to happen, we must continue to be built on the foundation of the apostles
and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone (Ephesians
2:1920). This is the key to spiritual strength, enabling us to experience
transformation according to God's will.
After Pentecost (when the Holy Spirit was poured out), the early church
was established and built upon the apostles' teaching and the fellowship
of the saints (Acts 2:42a). Teaching and fellowship must go hand in hand.
Those who grow according to God's will are transformed into the likeness
of Christ with ever-increasing glory. In the early church generation,
many people were successfully transformed into the likeness of Christ
and filled with His glory. Many members of the Body of Christ were changed
by Gods power and were also used by Him to win many souls for the
Lord.
If you realize that it is by Gods will that you are now part of
the fellowship of God's family in a local church He has chosen for you,
then you need to proactively grow within a healthy and genuine local church
fellowshipone that is based on His Word and empowered by the Holy
Spirit, and that practices life together as Gods family. Let us
always remember that we, His Church, are made for His glory!
Happy Pentecost, Amen!
