And they sang the song of Moses, God's servant, and the song of the Lamb, saying: "Great and wonderful are Your works, O Lord, God, the Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of all nations! Who would not fear, O Lord, and who will not glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; for all nations will come and bow down to worship You, for the truth of Your judgments has been revealed" (Revelation 15:3-4)
Matthew 28:18-20 is Christ's Great Commission for us His disciples (His church). These tasks are called missions. God wants us as His church to have responsibility in ministry in the Body of Christ and also responsibility in mission in this world. Responsibility in ministry is a responsibility in our service to believers (Colossians 1:25; I Corinthians 12:5), but responsibility in our mission is responsibility in ministry (service) to people who do not believe. So, fulfilling GOD's mission in this world is our main responsibility which must be carried out before the Lord Jesus returns for the second time. And as wise Christians we need to take responsibility in carrying out the mission of Christ's Great Commission. We are guaranteed to receive the promise of His inclusion until the end of time (Matthew 28:20). The word mission comes from the Latin word for to send. Becoming a Christian means being ready to be sent into the world as an implementer of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, As the Father sent me, so now I send you (John 20:21). Jesus in His mission while living His life as the Son of Man while living above in this world always emphasized the completion of the mission of His Father's Kingdom. At the age of 12, He said, I must be in My Father's house (Luke 2:49), which in the King James Version says, I must do My Father's business and 21 years later, while approaching dying on the cross, He said, It is finished (John 19:30). These two statements show the frame of responsibility for carrying out a mission that is carried out well and that has goals and targets that must be completed. Jesus has completed His mission that the Father gave Him. After Jesus ascended to heaven, the mission that Jesus carried out when he was on earth, now becomes the mission for us, His church, because we are an extension of Christ, namely part of His Body. What He did with His physical body we must continue as His spiritual body. If we carry out responsibility in His mission, then one day when God's wrath ends there will be songs from those who have defeated the beast, his image and the number of his name. And they sang the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb which said, "Great and wonderful are Your works, O Lord, God, the Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of all nations! Who is not afraid, O Lord, and who does not glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; for all nations will come and bow down to worship You, for the truth of all Your judgments has been revealed" (Revelation 15:3-4). The Lord Jesus will return as the righteous Judge. We are grateful because all nations who have received the gift of salvation will come and bow down to worship Him. God wants to redeem humans from Satan and reconcile them through the Lord Jesus Christ so that we can be a generation at the end of this time who fulfills God's purposes with full responsibility. God's church or congregation that is responsible for missionary tasks will be like Him, serve Him, and tell others about Him. Let's wrestle about our responsibility in completing Jesus' mission in the end times and remaining one in the mission of His Kingdom , Amen!
