"Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me". (John 12:26, NIV)
John 12:26 was spoken by the holy Lord Jesus. When He says, whoever serves
Him must follow Him and wherever He is, His servant will also be, that
means we must also be sanctified to become a trustworthy servant of God.
Many Christians have not yet realized the importance of being a holy disciple
of God in carrying out specific tasks that He wants them to have. God
sanctifies each of us to serve Him in certain unique ways. Nothing happens
in our lives that are coincidental and unimportant. God has sanctified
everything since the world was created and since man was formed (Genesis
2: 3). God never does anything outside of His holiness. He will not give
you abilities, interests, talents, gifts, personalities, and life experiences
if He does not intend to use them for His holiness and glory. "For
from him and through him and for him are all things" ??(Romans 11:36
a). Therefore we need to recognize and understand the factors that shape
our life into a holy nation, to proclaim the great deeds of Him, who has
called you out of darkness into His miraculous light (1 Peter 2
We were not created just to spend all our energy and resources on this earth, but we are all placed on this earth to be sanctified and to make a contribution that can glorify His name. He wants us as His people to give something back as a token of our gratitude and appreciation to Him as the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. During the months of January until last August, we have delved into the things that make us a more holy and perfect church, if we will:
"Ready to be the holy and perfect bride of Christ" (January-February 2020 Sub-theme),
"Sanctified and perfected to perform worship that is pleasing" (Sub-theme for March-April 2020),
"Sanctified and perfected to be a strong member of the Body of Christ" (Sub-theme May-June 2020),
"Sanctified and perfected to be a true disciple of Christ" (Sub-theme July-August 2020)
In entering this month of September and October 2020, as a continuation of our development, then we will delve into this September-October, which is how we are: "Sanctified and perfected to be a trustworthy servant of God". Servants are very important to be able to glorify Him on this earth (bd. John 17: 4). Being a holy and trustworthy servant is a very important aspect of the lives of Christ's disciples. Again, the Lord Jesus said, Whoever serves Me, let him follow Me and where I am, there my servant will be. Whoever serves me will be honored by the Father (John 12:26). This means the service that pleases the Father is the service performed by every disciple of Christ who wants to be sanctified to be a trustworthy minister. Are you a reliable servant? Amen.
